Keratoconus

What is Keratoconus ?

Keratoconus is a progressive eye condition where the normally round cornea thins and begins to bulge into a cone-like shape. This irregular shape distorts vision and increases sensitivity to light and glare.

It often develops during the teenage years or early adulthood. If left untreated, keratoconus can worsen over time, leading to severe visual impairment and dependence on corrective lenses or surgery.

Treatments

Treatment depends on the stage of keratoconus. In early stages, custom glasses or contact lenses may help. In progressive cases, Collagen Cross-Linking (C3R), Intacs rings, or corneal transplants may be necessary.

Our clinic offers advanced diagnostic tools and customized care plans to stabilize and improve your vision.

  • Corneal Collagen Cross-Linking (C3R)

Stop the Progression of Keratoconus with Early Intervention

At ClearSight by Dr. Rashi Sharma, we provide the latest treatments for keratoconus like C3R (Collagen Cross-Linking) to stop progression and preserve vision. Early diagnosis and personalized care are the keys to clear sight and healthy eyes.

While it cannot be completely cured, progression can be halted with C3R and vision significantly improved with lenses or surgery.

Blurry vision, light sensitivity, frequent prescription changes, and ghost images are common signs.

Not always. Many patients manage well with lenses and cross-linking if diagnosed early.
